Hey everyone, I’m so excited to be backstage at the Film Independent Spirit Awards again this year, their 25th Anniversary year. Of course, this year the Awards moved from Saturday afternoon on the beach in Santa Monica to Friday night at L.A. Live in downtown Los Angeles.
I’m situated in On 3 Productions’ Gift Lounge, where FAGE Total Yogurt and LG Electronics’ new high-performance Kompressor Vacuums are the primary sponsors, all for charity.

This week, I did better in my “American Idol” predictions, correctly guessing three out of the four contestants who would be going home – Jermaine Sellers, John Park and Michelle Delamor.
It was a toss up for me between Haeley Vaughn and Lacey Brown. I guess I underestimated the power of the Texans. The red-headed country girl got to stay, while 16-year-old Haeley’s “Climb” (she sang the Miley Cyrus tune this week) on the show was a short one.
This morning, I had a chance to chat with all four eliminated contestants.
